Leave in silence: Is there quiet in the land? 

Leave in silence: is there quiet in the land? was a public art project produced in collaboration with US Artist and Activist Kathleen Bitetti and presented as part of the 2010 London Biennale. Dealing with issues relating to domestic abuse within South West Devon, including Dartmoor. The piece consisted of 30 small works left in public spaces for members of the public to come across. The works were left in telephone boxes, female public toilets, restaurants, Tors and benches. Each work consisted of a large clear plastic bag. Inside this bag there was a large white envelope and a smaller clear bag which held a white piece of doll house furniture. The white doll house furniture referred to childhood and home where abuse takes place. Inside the white envelope was information about domestic abuse and some helpline numbers.
